On 27th January, 2010, Apple announced their latest and greatest product – the iPad. This single device will enable users to have the best possible user experience for surfing the web, sending emails, viewing photos, watching movies, listening to music, play games, read books and so much more. The iPad builds on the technology of the iPhone with a Multi-Touch™ screen that allows users to feel the applications they are using.
At just half an inch in thickness, and tipping the scales at just 1.5 pounds, this is thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook, and infinitely more fun and intuitive to use. The iPad comes complete with a dozen new applications created especially for the iPad, and will run pretty much all over the hundreds of thousands of Apps at the Apple App Store. Every app works in both portrait and landscape, automatically animating between views as the user rotates iPad in any direction.
The iPad doesn’t come with an inbuilt camera, but some iPad Bluetooth acessories may come out that allow you to connect a camera. There is the option of getting the iPad with a 3G SIM card so you can perhaps use phone functionality. However, the iPad isn’t the most portable phone gadget, so you might want to look at watch phones if you want something a bit smaller.
The iPad hits stores in late March and will have a starting price of only $499.
